ENERGY AUDIT ACCORDING TO DIN EN 16.247

The energy audit is the first step on the way to improving your company's CO2 footprint – we record the current status of consumption and energy flows, identify potentials and give you feedback for optimising your energy consumption.  If an energy management system or a CO2 management system is part of your sustainability strategy, the energy audit is definitely the first step on this path.

Mandatory Energy Audits

Large enterprises ("non-SMEs") are required by the Energiedienstleistungsgesetz (EDL-G) to conduct an energy audit every four years once their total energy consumption exceeds 500,000 kWh.

According to the Energy Efficiency Act, however, all micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as municipalities and associations with an annual energy requirement of more than 2.5 gigawatt-hours, are also required to record and publish regular economic energy efficiency measures in implementation plans. This corresponds to the requirements of an energy audit. We are your contact as approved energy auditors for the implementation of the required energy audits. The audits are conducted according to the standards of DIN EN 16247 and the guidelines of the BAFA, while we always work according to the principle of cost-effectiveness. This way, we can help you identify improvement potentials and prioritize their implementation. In our audit report, you will find all the information clearly, understandably, and reduced to the essential statements so that you can achieve your goals quickly without having to use unnecessary resources. In addition to the actual energy audit, our services also include support in the context of the proof procedure with the BAFA.We take care of the swift and reliable processing so that you can focus on the future.Alternatively, an energy management system according to ISO 50,001 or EMAS can be introduced. We would be happy to advise you on this as well.

Voluntary Energy Audits

SMEs, municipalities, and non-profit associations that consume less than 2.5 GWh per year are financially supported by the federal government if they decide to conduct an energy audit.

The identified savings potential can make this doubly worthwhile.

We support you with the funding application and conduct the audit for you.
